When and Where is it?

Sunday, Sept 30, 2018 at 4pm

Sycamore Park District

Lion's Shelter

435 South Airport Road (East Entrance)

Sycamore, IL, 60178

What about the course?

Preschoolers: 1/4 mile

Kindergarten and 1st Grade: 1/2 mile

2nd and 3rd Grade: 1 mile

4th and 5th Grade: 1 mile

The course is designed by Coach Casey Beckley, a local competitive masters runner and owner of Forge Athletics. Dr. Denny Kolkebeck, Physical Therapist/ Owner of Moose-L Up Gym. Besides being one of the best Physical Therapists in the Midwest, Denny is an accomplished Obstacle Course Racer. Both men are awesome Dads who love to see kids have a fun challenge!

Coach Casey and Denny hope that kids are "tricked" into running further than they thought possible as they go from challenge to challenge.  Kids will be given age appropriate obstacles to conquer, leaving them with a strong sense of accomplishment.

How should the kids dress?

There will be a superhero dress-up contest after the events, however, dressing up is optional. Realize kids will also be sent crawling, balancing, running, and jumping across the park. You may choose to have your child dress down to shorts and t-shirt for the race, then in a favorite Superhero outfit before and after.

What if it rains?

Sycamore Park District has provided a large shelter, in case of heat or rain. The race will happen even if it rains. There is no rain date scheduled.

Is there day of registration?

Day of registration is $3 more per child. There will be a limited number of extra t-shirts and bibs.
